High Council of State rejects House’s acceptance of central bank governor’s resignation

Libya’s High Council of State has rejected a decision by the presiding board of the House of Representatives to accept the resignation of Central Bank of Libya governor Naji Issa and name an interim governor, and urged Issa to continue in his duties.
The council, the western-based chamber that is the House’s political counterpart, said it rejects any administrative or legal effects arising from the acceptance of the resignation or the interim appointment.
