Eni Asks Mellitah to Raise Gas Supplies to Italy by 20% Ahead of Winter
Italy's Eni has asked Mellitah Oil and Gas Company to raise natural gas supplies to Italy by approximately 20%, in a move aimed at meeting the needs of the Italian market as winter approaches, according to correspondence obtained by the publication.
Current supplies stand at around 1.4 billion standard cubic metres annually, equivalent to 3.84 million standard cubic metres per day.
Under the requested increase, supplies would rise to approximately 1.68 billion standard cubic metres annually, or roughly 4.60 million standard cubic metres per day.
