Amal Al-Saudi becomes first woman to chair a Libyan bank

Amal Abdullah Al-Saudi has been appointed chairwoman of the board of the United Bank for Commerce and Investment, becoming the first woman in Libya's history to head a bank.

Al-Saudi is a business development expert with more than 30 years of experience in trade finance across the MENA region, particularly in Libya and Europe. Throughout her career, she has built long-term relationships with prominent clients from financial institutions and commercial sectors, contributing to business growth and stronger international cooperation.
